The History of the Musical

Immerse yourself in the beauty of the Serengeti desert, in colorful Africa. Rediscover the wonderful characters from the Disney classic in the musical and join Simba and his friend, the young lioness Nala, on their excursions and tests of courage. Or do you still remember the meerkat Timon and the warthog Pumbaa? They distract Simba from his grief over his deceased father? From them, he also learns his new philosophy of life, Hakuna Matata („No worries“).
After living in the jungle for a few years with Timon and Pumbaa, he meets his childhood friend Nala again. She seeks his help because the kingdom, the Pride Lands, is being destroyed under Scar's rule. Simba then sets out to claim his rightful place as king. Do you remember what happens next?

How to get to the theater

You can reach the Theater am Hafen by taking the U-Bahn line U3 or the S-Bahn lines S1 or S3 to „Landungsbrücken.“ From there, take the free shuttle across the Elbe from Bridge 1, and a wonderful evening can begin!
